Microsoft is big on employees being their “authentic selves”, so I’ve felt welcome to express my culture at work. There’s also a lot of talk around diversity and inclusion at Microsoft. It’s exciting to see a real, ongoing commitment from Microsoft in that area.
This internship has completely changed my perspective on what the corporate world is like, what kind of people work there, and whether I’d fit in. It’s given me a foot in the door at one of the biggest companies in the world, taught me a wide range of new skills, and opened up a bunch of opportunities for my career ahead.
