Everything I worked on during my internship related to Māori, improving the Māori Economy and writing policy to help increase Māori employment. It was necessary to think Māori in order to help Māori.
This internship has provided me with the opportunity to work in government- a career path I have always considered following post- university. I have made network connections and friendships that I will have for life. I have gained skills and knowledge that will help me massively, not only during my degree but also when I head into the workforce. Now, I can confidently say that I could comfortably fit in to any corporate environment.
